Booknames such as "1. Chronicles"?
In the course of my Go Bible activities, I have occasionally seen some booknames that include a full stop after the leading numeral in books such as 1Chr. Example, "1. Chronicles". Not sure how widespread this is in other parts of the world. Even so, it may be worthwhile considering as yet another alias. David Haslam 07:47, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- I would guess this is found in languages such as German, where '.' marks an ordinal. We do support such abbreviations in locales for German (and probably wherever else it is appropriate), but I've never seen this in an English-language text. --Osk 11:09, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- A recent instance was in the Slovak Catholic translation. The Go Bible version can be downloaded from [1]. David Haslam 14:20, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Clash with wikimedia format in section headed <abbr>
Section 2.2 appears to have no heading. This is due to the clash between the XML element <abbr> and Wikimedia format. David Haslam 12:37, 8 July 2011 (MDT)
