Despite the good example of Wikipedia, the CrossWire wiki  uses capital letters in headings in many places where they are not needed. David Haslam 11:51, 16 September 2008 (MDT)

: Wikipedia isn't our style guide. I, and I would guess many other contributors to the wiki, use standard English-language title casing for section headings. --Osk 14:06, 16 September 2008 (MDT)

I have deleted the page re new ideas as it is a bad idea. It was full of vague proposals without developer support, links to projects which have no connection to us and platforms which we will not support. As such anyone who has a active developmemt ongoing is invited to make use of the wiki pages to collect input, but I do not think it should be a free for all. Proposal pages should be opened only by the peopel who actually will fulfill the proposal. refdoc:talk 11:43, 8 January 2018 (MST)

KIO_Sword is a URL handler for Sword project modules that makes installed modules browsable in Konqueror. This means it's Mac/Linux compatible. It's so small and functional. I'm putting it into talk instead of the main page because I  don't know what the criteria for listing is. (and since I don't own it...)

Please restrict the listing of front-ends on the Main Page to those which are at least at beta test status. It is better to list new front-end development projects in the Current Projects page. David Haslam 19:24, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Improving the Development Pane

The ideal Frontend wishlist item should be moved to become a section on a more general new page Development Roadmap. IMHO, it is too verbose to be here on the main page. Please comment. David Haslam 19:07, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks to Osk for starting to follow this up. David Haslam 21:47, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Front-ends

Please restrict the listing of front-ends on the Main Page to those which are at least at beta test status. It is better to list new front-end development projects in the Current Projects page. David Haslam 19:24, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

xulsword & phpsword

xulsword was originally developed as Windows based front-end, but more recently has also been adapted as a Firefox extension.

phpsword is part of the xulsword project, but is a server based front-end. For a demonstration, please visit IBT Bible Browser.

David Haslam 14:07, 26 July 2012 (MDT)

With the changes to Mozilla Firefox add-ons infrastructure, xulsword is no longer available as a Firefox extension. David Haslam (talk) 01:47, 8 January 2018 (MST)

I have just removed the following link from the Development pane.

Program Crash

It's very technical, and wouldn't be understood by the casual visitor. --David Haslam (talk) 15:37, 8 January 2018 (MST)
And that is not true. This is a technical place and there is no point in hiding pages like this.refdoc:talk 00:35, 9 January 2018 (MST)
It's not something to see immediately behind the "front door". Surely a link from one of the Help pages would suffice? That's not the same as hiding it. It's merely putting it in its proper place. In a well designed wiki, not everything should be linked from the Main Page! David Haslam (talk) 05:45, 9 January 2018 (MST)

OSIS

I've restructured this section and added a link to our copy of the OSIS 2.1.1 XSD file, which is useful to have on the main page while the BibleTechnologies website is unavailable. David Haslam (talk) 11:40, 11 January 2018 (MST)

OSIS being jargon, I have made the section heading verbose. David Haslam (talk) 11:41, 11 January 2018 (MST)

Contributions?

The linked page title Contributions is somewhat vague and gives no indication what such page is for and why one should visit it. David Haslam (talk) 21:16, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
